The internet is loaded with tutorials for Photoshop. It’s probably the most used piece of software by web designers. I’m one that’s always trying to improve my skills, and I thought you might find this post interesting: 239 Free Resources for the Photoshop Artist

I could make a list of websites which I think you should have taken a look at in May. I could ramble on how much I like the sites, and make pretty descriptions and stuff. RotateCanvas is all about the pretty side of webdesign. Personally, I’m a big fan of the swirly, swooshy and wavey designs in websites. I noticed a pretty swirl-thumbnail at an advertising site, so I had to click. Not only is the site itself pretty, but they have FREE templates, FREE CSS layouts and FREE CSS tutorials. That’s complete awesomeness! Checkout Free-CSS.com.

Lately there’s a trend in web design using old fashioned backgrounds. Either your grandma’s wallpaper, your dad’s 70’s photo album or Barok style castles can be an inspiration for your next background. Veerle wrote a cool Illustrator tutorial to create a 70’s style geometric pattern in an article called: Creating geometric patterns in Illustrator

Apart from clients saying “I like it!”, when do you know a design is finished? Abduzeedo.com asked 23 professionals about when they think a design is finished, and it’s funny to see that even the pro’s sometimes don’t know when they’re done. I myself use the method most of them do: step away, and take a look again a few days later..

I love free stuff, especially when it’s useful. Since I visit The Web Squeeze quite often, I couldn’t help noticing these 50 Free Icon Sets .

Karinne must’ve been busy looking for these for agers, ’cause these are really good and usable.

I forgot how I got there, but this is a very useful site for free lancers that feel they don’t have enough clients or just want to make some extra (quick) cash.
